Indesit Dryer IDC8T3 8KG screeching noises (ear pearcing)

Hi All, not been on here for donkeys so apologies if I'm not posting in the relevant section.
Question: is it worth trying to repair an Indesit Dryer IDC8T3 thats making very loud screeching noises. It's fine until drying for about 20 minutes and then it's unbearable to tolerate. If i stop the dryer for 5 minutes and start it there's no noise for about 15 minutes. Also, when the dryer temp pauses (Stops spinning for a moment, its still screeching out loud). Thanks for any advise - only had it 2 years

So are you saying that when the drum stops turning the noise continues. If so the the fan is either contaminated or motor goosed.

If the noise keeps going when the drum pauses the condensation pump can still be running. Thay do have a tendency to squeal when warm.
Check the back of the dryer where the pump is when the noise is happening , inside the grey plastic box lower right.

Pully wheel, bearings can cause squeal, can be fixed.
