dont know about that m/c but no spin is usually caused by motor brushes wearing out, motor giving up.
There is also a "new feature" on some m/c that will not allow it to spin if load is out of balance (this is what cause m/c to shake rattle and roll) dont know if yours has it. take 1/2 the load out and try spinning again
i only said probably, and yes a m/c will wash because it has less work to do, it will also spin when empty for the same reason, i.e. it has no load (that is load as in weight, not wash load)
Over time the brushes get worn out, they start to make less contact, so when a motor has to "work" it can not get enough current via the brushes to turn.
As i also said i am not 100% sure of your m/c but its woth checking the brushes. (they are also the most likely thing to have failed and are the cheapest thing to change)
thankyou for the explanation and after that advise about the consumer unit i will take note i will try to service the brushes soon but as you can know it's not 10 mins of a job will let you know how i get on busy at min thank you once again
