Indesit W123 drum not turning!

Help!
Just back from hols, threw in a wash and machine drum wont turn. It fills, takes in powder, and sounds like its trying to go through cycle, only the drum wont turn. Dial not going round either, although it sounds like it is moving around the cycle. i.e. I can hear it try to spin and can see it fill and drain etc. (Have tried it with only one t-shirt and it still wont turn)
Yet the drum seems to move very freely when empty and door open.

Could there have been too much in first wash that has pulled drum out of position? or is drum off of its runners (or whatever it is secured on)
Can anyone shed any light on this??

how easy it it to spin drum when empty? (by hand) and how long before it stops?

if it is very easy to spin, and takes "a while" to stop, belt has come off, if not new motor / brushes.

have a look at belt first

After a goodnights sleep, I had a look at it this morning, and after taking off the back discovered the belt was off. Stuck it back on and hey presto it's working fine!
