Indesit W161 Washer Problem

HELP. My Indesit w161 washer has just gone bust.
It was on its last spin cycle when an almighty bang happened.I turned it off and opened the door to a small puff of smoke and the slight smell of burning.
Does anyone know if this is the end of my machine or is it worth a call out from an engineer???
I'm a single mum and have'nt a clue what to do. I don't want to waste money on call out charges if I have to buy a new one.
Id be gratefull for any advice. Thanks.

I bought it about 4 years ago but its been in my garage for a year and only started using it again last December when I moved house. Its been working fine since then.

I'm off to curry's tomorrow to look at buying a new one.
