Indesit washer/dryer WD10

Hi,
My appliance wont stop water filling as long as the dryer timer switch is turned on to any position. Turning the timer off immediately restores normalcy. Has someone out there ever had a similar problem?... and could anyone suggest how to rectify this problem.
