Anyone had experience of this cheap and nasty machine. The first failure about a year and a half into its life was a failed drum bearing. I replaced this and all was well. Next I noticed a repetitive thumping during spin. This is one of the dampers having slack at the point were it attaches to the drum. Every time the drum moves the slack has to be taken up causing the thump. A year then passes before I notice the machine has started break dancing during spin. Examination reveals, one of the dampers has pulled its attachment point right out of the frame of the machine, and the second has broken the metal around its attachment point and is about to pull through also. The answer here was two plates attached to the attachment points and welded to the outside of the machines frame. But I also noticed both dampers are sloping around at the points were they attach to the drum and its just a matter of time before they wear through.
So to my question. Has the damper to drum attachment point on these machines been noted for wear. Is there a kit to fix it. The wear is in the drum molding and not the damper.
It's poor design and inferior materials. If a kits not available I intend to redesign it myself.
Any information much appreciated.
