Recently my machine has been coming to the end of its cycle without draining. I set it to drain, and spin the load again to get rid of excess water and it is fine. Then I will come back to it a few hours later and the drum has filled up with water, almost to the point of spilling out onto the floor. I can set it to drain again and it does, but I wondered what could make it do this?[/u]

If it's clean water then the inlet valve is faulty and not closing properly.
If it's dirty water then it's coming back from the spigot under the sink.

Unplug your appliance before working on it.
