INDESIT WM12XUK door

Hello all

I have a WM12xuk Washing Machine (Indesit), And i cannot open the door, there is no washing inside and i can start a new cycle etc, all water seems to be draining away but the door will not open i have bought a new door lock for the machine because the old one looks a bit loose and could possibly be brocken.

Does anybody know how i can open the door so as i can replace the door lock?

remove lid place hand inside with the power off and on the lock rear is a lever to release the door ,failing that place a piece of string round the outer door and push in side and pull to the left .
