I have a Indesit 1200 washing machine. when I put it onto spin there is a loud knocking noise. not continueous the knocking is every 1 to 2 seconds

Have you checked to see if any of the concrete weights are coming loose? they may just need tightening up.!

You could try checking the drum paddles to make sure they haven't come loose as the clips on them are quite brittle if they are the plastic type.
