INDICATOR STALK

My Peugeot 405 (1995) indicator switch (the LH stalk on the steering column) has stopped locking on when indicating right. Is this just a stalk swap or is it a bigger job ie some sort of cam on the steering column itself?

Usually the switch locks itself and there is a plastic boss which resets it. Should be (should!) a simple job.
Steering wheel off, unscrew or slide off stalk and pop the new one back on
