Hi.

Got to work this morning. Pushed the front door closed and the Ingersoll lock kinda fell apart.

The pin that holds the opening lever in place (and spring) fell out.

I put them back but the pin only seems to be held in place by friction, and fell out again later in the day.

It is now being held in place with gaffer tape.

Should I just glue it?

Nb, the image is from the ingersoll site, my client's lock is upside down, meaning that the pin isn't held in place by gravity.

Tnx

I would take it out, lay it on something hard and hammer it once or twice to flatten it slightly which should help it grip

Thanks for the reply. I got to work yesterday and the client had already got a locksmith to replaced the night latch. The locksmith says that he had never seen that happen before...
