Inhibitor and descaler

Hi all,

Does anyone know if it's OK\benificial to have a corrosion\scale inhibitor and a boiler descaler in a system at the same time? ie. Sentinal X100 Central Heating Scale Inhibitor and Sentinel X200 Boiler Descaler.
The guy who serviced the boiler (baxi, 11 years old) says it's kettling and I need to descale it.

You would need to add the X200 for the prescibed time then drain it out and re add more X100 in a perfect world.

As I understand it, X200 is a noise reducer, not a decaler. I've never understood how it works, but as far as I know it doesnt dissolve the scale like an acid descaler would.

X200 can be left in the system indefinitely, at the same time as X100.

Thank you very much for the speedy response. Looks like these products prohibit further build ups but dont clear existing.

I have never found system silencing chemicals ever work. Within 18 months you will be back to square one.

I never take on this type of job as I think it is an expensive waste of money for my customers.
