I know its a daft question as such but in my Vaillant manual it says not to add any inhibitors or cleaners. The boiler is at least over 15 years old (according to British Gas). Any reason why I shouldn't add any? Since we've owned the house the boiler has never had any in, but it has been drained a couple of times for adding new rads etc and all times the water has only had a slight hint of brown in it.

Well according to B.G and other corgi (gas safe) peeps it's over engineered but thats typical german engineering for you.
