My open eaves let any number and type of God's creatures into the attic. I do not want to cover them with soffit and fascia: I want to stop the crittures but leave the eaves open.
Somebody has suggested I insert metal mesh, one piece between each adjacent pair of rafters, so that the only way in for the air is through the mesh holes, small enough to stop a bumblebee. This would mean cutting each piece to size and shape (hopefully, rectangular) - lotsa work. Presumably the best to hope for is off-the-shelf strip of the same width as the rafter-depth.
Does anyone know of mesh which is designed for this purpose and if so what it is called?
Any suggestions for fixing it?
Many thanks in advance!
