Hi,
I've had one of these taps for about 10 years and generally very happy with it. We live in a very hard water area so we accept that we must replace the tank every few years.
But having just bought a new tank, the water is still not hot but I discovered that when I unscrew/remove the spout the water that comes out IS hot so which is very weird. Having spoken to insinkurator, they suggested it may be the valves in the tap it self which are broken now and mix hot/cold water which seems like a reasonable suggestion as I can't think of anything else that could be wrong.
My questions:
1) Does that seem reasonable / could the tap itself be broken / any other suggestions?
2) I just bought a new tap (which I can send back if I can find a cheaper solution) and looking in the cupboard I found the thing below. I assume it's some sort of crimp fitting which I guess needs replacing? Do you think it comes with the tap or if not: what should I buy?
Thanks!
