Hi guys,

Can someone please advise if it is possible to install an RCD into this unit, I mean if a professional electrician can do this?

Or do we have to replace the whole unit?

Thank you,

More questions. You have two boards there.
is one an off-peak board?
You are asking about having an RCD for the grey (Hager) board. Why do you think you need one?
The second brown board. Is an RCD needed for this as well?

Hi guys,

As TTC says, it's a board for heaters

The older Board is not used (I believe) as the electrical heaters have been removed a few years ago.

I am asking about an RCD for hager. Need RCD is just for safety.

MT is the old range replaced by the MTN range, most Hagar are interchangeable, what do you mean by RCD
Hagar do a RCD Mainswitch as well as RCBO,s which are also an RCD.

The other (Chilton) board is certainly used. Turn it off and see what your lights do!
The Hager is marked only for heaters. Is that no longer the case?. You need to find out what they are really for!

For "safety" today's regulations require RCD protection on all circuits. You could change the MCBs on the HAger board for RCBOs. The Chilton board should be in the science museum.
Really, find out what the actual functionality is of both boards.
If, as I suspect, they are both still in use, then your best course would be to integrate the lot into one board.
