Hi, I am looking for someone to install a commercial style gas tumble dryer in my detached garage. It currently runs on natural gas but I have the nozzles and instructions on how to convert it to LPG. I am also in the process of looking at changeover valves/regulator and hoses, it has a 1/2" bsp inlet. I am in the Doncaster area.
Many thanks
Tom
Oh, I am a mechanical fitter (no dedicated gas quals, just c&g pipe connections etc), would you recommend I install myself  as is looks like a relatively straightforward job.

Lets get this straight!

You have a house but want to run the dryer on LPG?

Dont you have nat gas in the house?

Do you realise the 25 kW consumption will probably not be possible to get out of a 47 kG gas bottle in cold weather? Quite apart from the cost of running it!

Anyone installing one needs the commercial gas dryer qualification. I used to hold that but for Nat Gas.

Presumably there is an LPG qualification for commercial dryers but I would be surprised if anyone ( not even Lee ) would hold that as there is virtually no call for it.

Since gas work, and particularly with LPG, is potentially dangerous no one would recommend that you do it yourself.
