Installed an electric oven

I have installed an electric oven however one of the copper links that joins the terminals together for the live has fell out. The oven still works fine does any one know what theselinks are for

Take the oven out of service and do it properly. Tight connections on all ovens connections are critical, and if one 'fell out'...

the links are to covert the oven to single phase without the link one of the elements will have no live feed
