Installed velux, optional components required / alternatives

Hi,

Just fitted 3 velux P10 GGL windows to my extension and also have the EDW flashing kits to fit. I notice the (useless) instructions show shopping baskets for what looks like insulation and other kits.

I plan on just fitting some 20mm celotex around the outside to replace the insulation kit, what about the other kits, i.e. BFX and BDX. Are these really required as they seem optional and are there any alternatives, thanks.

The insulation kits are optional and yes celotex cut and fixed would do the same job more or less.
