Hi Everyone

I have a Belling double oven cooker rated 5.1KW installed in a housing. there is a 45 Amp doublepole switch. The cable is 6mm to a 32 amp RCD Consumer unit.

I have purchased a Belling ceramic hob CHU265 rated at 6.5KW. Is it OK to connect this to the same supply as the cooker. The Belling manuals indicate that you can but a local electician has said I need a new 6mm supply from the Consumer Unit.

Thanks to anyone who comments

it is down to diversity, will all elemnts be on at the same time, chances are they will be, this will be too much for both cable and mcb / fuse, so your local electrician is right
