Installing a Hive 2 but only 3 wires!

Afternoon All,

Hoping someone can help me. I have (had) an ESI ESRTP5 controller with a combi boiler, after much searching eventually found I needed to put the receives in place of the current controllers. I've done this, all looks ok except that the heating does not come on.

My suspicion is I need to connect 2 of the connectors on the hive receiver. Could anyone tell me which though..

you neeed to make a link between L & 1 on the hive

Many thanks, I thought it was that but I'm no professional so best to ask. Another question and don't judge, this is just all I could find around the house, would it be ok to use the Live wire from a plugs cabling?

if not a trip to screwfix I guess.

Looks like you could shorten the wire going to the L connection and use a bit of that.

yep that is how I would do it, you have plenty of play
