Thinking of installing an IKEA wall hung bathroom basin.

This weighs 16kg and is held onto the wall using two bolts! Concerned about obtaining a sound fixing without overtightening the bolts and damaging the basin. Thinking of putting a bead of silicon sealing rubber (the type used to seal between bath tiles and the bath) on the back of the sink to take up any irregularities and, maybe, also provide some adhesion to the plaster. Anybody have any thoughts on this? Have also thought of first securing to a wooden sheet, perhaps by using similar bolts and also gluing with some No More Nails, and then screwing that to the wall. The sheet would be larger than the back of the basin so would provide a greater area of contact with the wall.
