Hi, I have searched the other airbrick posts on here but can't find an answer to my question... probably because it's a stupid question...
Anyway, I need to install air bricks in the external solid wall to ventilate the chimney (which is sealed up). Obviously I will have to drill through and remove the 2 layers of brick from the solid wall but when I fit the airbrick, will this just be in the outside brick layer? What happens in the inner brick layer, do I just leave a hole or do I have to put something in there too? Also are two 9" x 3" airbricks enough, 1 placed several feet above the other one to create a flow through or do I need more than 1 brick at each place?
Thank you for any advice!
