Hi Guys,
I'm renovating an old house for sale. Currently, in the bathroom there is an old Dimplex electrically heated towel rail. It is oil-filled with a 150W load which is switched by a fused (3A) DP switch, with a neon light. The problem is that the flat twin and earth cable into the switch runs down the nearby corner of the wall from a lighting circuit JB in the loft. It is reasonably discrete with paint, etc, but I want to run the cable behind the wall down to the switch. Taking the power from the upstairs sockets circuit is not practical.

Given that the heater is only 150W, would it be OK to continue to use the lighting circuit (5 lamps on the circuit protected by a 5A mcb) and labelling the CU accordingly? I foresee someone tripping the upstairs sockets mcb before opening the switch, but hopefully that person would switch it on first and notice the neon is still on. I guess I could label the switch plate as well.

Thoughts?
