Installing electric cooktop

In US, I'm replacing an old cooktop with a new one. The old cooktop is hooked up red (cooktop) to white (supply); black to black; and bare to bare. The new cooktop has black, red, green, and white wires. What connects to what?

older US 240V wiring uses a combined neutral and earth core so you need to connect both white and green from your cooktop to the bare wire from the wall and connect the other wires as before.
