I am wanting to install some loft boards in my house to use purely for space. However with this being a new house it looks more complicated than I originally thought. The current insulation is of the new building regs and as a results it thicker/higher than the joists.
The only way round I can think to do would be to take a layer back up of the wool/fabric insultaiton and replace with some foam space boards and then put the normal loft floor boards on top of these.
Does this seem like the right thing to do in a new house or does anyone have any better suggestions or ideas?
Cheers
