I have a Vaillant Turbomax 242 combi boiler and just got myself a nest 3rd generation thermostat. There wasn't an existing thermostat so this was a fresh install. I used this post as a guide
https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/installing-a-nest-to-a-vaillant-turbomax.425632/
I just wanted to make sure I have wired up the boiler correctly. Below is a photo before and after but to summarise I have used a 3 core and earth cable with
3) brown (live)
4) black (switched live)
5) grey (neutral)
E) yellow /green (earth)
And on the Nest heat link I have
N) Grey (neutral)
L) Brown (live)
3) Black (switched live)
And a Loop between L to 2
The earth is unconnected
Does that look correct?
Cheers
