hi

as part of our new kitchen we are having vinyl in kitchen floor. Kitchen floor is concrete.

My fitter told me he will put down a ply and then put down vinyl on top of ply. Is this good or bad or doesnt matter? Is ply "glued" to concrete floor? any measures that can be taken to make sure the vinyl is isntalled properly on ply?

Normally you would self levelling screed the subfloor and fit to that, there must be a reason for needing to ply the subfloor. The ply can be screw and plugged or glued down. Either way, you'll need to featheredge or microcoat the joint/screwheads etc before fitting the vinyl.
