I'm thinking about insulating my fireplace opening - a few people have said it might be worth doing. It's a fairly largely opening (see photo below) and we were wondering about doing it onto the back wall and side walls.
We don't want to take out the woodburner though - so would need to work around it.
Any thoughts on whether this is possible - and how to go about doing it i.e. what materials would be best (obviously fire resitant).
