Hi all
I am sure this has been covered before and from my research I think I am on the right lines but I have a specific question...
I plan to insulate between the rafters in my loft, rafters are 6 inches deep so I thought I would put 100mm Kingspan between, leaving a 2 inch gap behind, I was then going to put some 50mm across the whole lot attached to the edge of the rafters as I have some 50mm left over and this will give some extra insulation value.
My question is am I ok doing this, the roof does not have any lining/felt under the rosemary tiles. The kingspan will be foil backed so this will provide a vapour barrier? or do I need to put a breathable membrane across first?
Any comments or thoughts welcome
