Hi Everyone just a quick question of what is the best way fit the insulated PB in my upstairs rooms, Its not as straightforward as normal walls as the roof rafters protrude down into the upper floor rooms slightly, I have drawn up an image to better explain....

Also I'm looking to maintain the vapour control , can I use foil tape on the joints or does it need to be something that the skim coat with take better to??

As always any feedback is much appreciated.

1 or 2 will give you a stronger join that 3. A VCL will go under the plasterboard, not over it, so you wouldn't be using insulated plasterboard. Are you intending to put cellotex between the rafters as well.

Thanks for the reply,

Yes celotex foamed and taped in-between the rafters, I just wondered seeing as though the insulated pb has an inbuilt VCL there would be a way to maintain in down the joints when butted together.

Sorry, you'll need someone better than me to answer that one, I don't use the insulated PB.
