I'm in the middle of a refurb at home and currently have the hall walls back to bare brick.
Just wondering if I should use insulated plasterboard or not?
I'll use foil backed for the ceiling screwed to the timber but am not sure about the walls.
Would there be much benefit to using insulated boards rather than bog standard type?

cheers

Mike

Thermal plasterboards are good to use for there insulation properties as well as sound proofing. They are being used more and more in new builds these days.
Personally I would only use foil back boards in a bathroom or wet room. In every other room I would just double board the ceilings.

Thanks for the replies!

They are internal walls

I was intending to use foil backed boards for the ceiling as I'll be building an en-suite above the hall (eventually) so just thought to use them as an extra precaution.
