Insulating a garage floor

I need to replace a garage floor that has cracked in a few places. I was going to put the DPM in because there's not one there at the moment.

We use the garage to keep the washing machine in as well as the car. With this in mind, we were thinking of insulating the garage floor with something like 100mm extra therm insulation slabs. Can these type of insulation slabs be used in a garage where a car will be parked?

I think you may be advised to go for 150mm concrete with a layer of mesh.
My garage has 100mm expanded poystyrene under 150mm concrete with layer of mesh and I've parked the Discovery on it for a couple of years, and a 1.6 ton digger on the trailer in there without problems.
(Trailer and digger probably near 2.5 ton)

Cracked is normal for many a garage concrete slab. Doesn't necessarily mean it needs replacing. It's a lot of work for somewhere just to park the car and the washing machine doesn't need the luxury of an insulated floor.

Of course if it's uneven and falling apart then go ahead, means it was a **** poor job in the first place.
