Thinking of having my ageing boiler replaced soon. It was installed originally in a garage mounted directly on a single skin brick wall which gets cold on winter. The garage has now been converted to habitable space fully insulated but the boiler is still in its original position with a wooden cabinet built around it.
I'm wondering if when the boiler is replaced should I go to the trouble of insulating behind the new boiler? If so, what would the recommended method be? Would your average boiler installers do the job, or would they expect me to do it after the old boiler is removed?
