Renting a garage and the roof is absolutely soaking so going to install some celotex with a vapour barrier but not sure if I should install it with a 10mm gap between the roof and celotex or flat against the roof?
For a rented garage it seems a bit pointless. It won't/can't be heated and won't have lots of sources of moisture in it. Why's the roof so wet? Leaking?
It's going to be long term, so I don't mind putting some effort into it. Didn't want to go down spray foam because it means scrapping it all off when I leave.
Have been toying with the idea of framing the walls out if i can get the materials ultra cheap, it's a stones throw from my house so was going to put some lights in there, can always add a heater.
Water does leak in under the floor from the garages either side, when it drys will run some silicone round the edges. The roof itself seems pretty sound.
Use CT1 or stixall type polymer as sticks to wet.
Way better than silicone.
Have you watched skillbuilder on YouTube. Look up cold roof vs warm roof on that channel
