I have a 60s bungalow with a very shallow roof angle. It seems the loft insulation stops short of the eaves such that we get mould forming on the ceiling at the external corners of some of the rooms (especially daughter's bedroom). I've gone round with an IR camera (thank you Octopus!) which confirms there's a few inches of ceiling that gets a lot colder.
We are going to be extending upwards in the next year so I want a solution that won't cost a lot because we won't see a return.
What's the best solution? I feel like loose polystyrene balls might be the easiest to get into the gaps but don't really know, the shallow roof angle means it's going to be a tight space to access. I know I should be careful about ventilation but how much of an issue might that be if the roof is coming off in 6 months?
