Hi All

Trust you are well.

Im hoping to get some advice on how to tackle a condensation issue on an outbuilding we have. Its a single brick attempt (not mine, we acquired it with the property) that houses our dog, a dishwasher, washing machine and computer. The previous owners had simply painted the room so in winter when the condensation builds up we got a lot of mould. We have painted it with some mould resistant paint which appears to have cured the mould issue but the rooms is getting condensation on the walls again. The building is watertight but cold. With the dog living in the room its not convenient to have a dehumidifier on the go all day so im wondering if it time to baton the walls and add some insulation board or use some waterproof glue and some insulating lining paper.

Thanks Simon

Cheers for the reply.

I was considering using some polystyrene insulation then covering this with plasterboard and using an airbrick type thing, would this be sufficient do you think?

Airbricks would certainly help, an extractor when you are running your appliances would be better.
