I've got a small outhouse sat on a concrete raft with DPM and then a 65mm screed on top of that.

I've got some old pine plank flooring I was going to lay on battens but I'm not sure whether it's worth insulating in between battens to keep the floor warmer and not sound so hollow ?

If I do insulate do I need a damp sheet on top of the screed before the insulation or is that not necessary and is there any need for an air gap or can I stick the cellotex or similar straight on top of the screed butted in between the battens ?

Advice appreciated.

Insulate is a good idea, wool will be the cheapest.
No need for any barriers really or air gaps. But if you do then put it advice the insulation ie warm side.
