Hi
I have a victorian end of terrace and am thinking about taking up the carpet in the lounge/diner and having sanded floorboards. Now i don't know the state of the boards under the carpet but if some of them are 'bad' can i remove boards from an upstairs bedroom (where there will still be carpet) and swap them over? Also i imagine that in winter this could be very cold on the feet etc, is there a way to insulate under the boards to stop the draught? I thought about putting loft type insulation under them but thought this may stop air circuating leading to damp issues?
thanks
