Hi,
I currently have a tiled kitchen floor, which is on a suspended cement floor. The floor itself is quite cold to the touch and the room is quite cold as a result and I'd like to improve that.
Ideally I'd get under the floor and insulate from beneath but that isn't an option as there is no access. I don't really want to go to the expense of underfloor heating as it is quite a big area (4.2 x 4.2m). After taking the tiles up I think I will have about 30mm clearance.
So my plan is to have 10mm of insulation board and 18mm of floating engineered flooring. What I want to know is which insulation will give me the best level of insulation, but none of the insulation boards seem to have u values.
Which would give me best insulation:

or

or
something else or even I could try to get 20mm of kingspan underneath go for some thinner flooring and try to get away with a minimal (5mm?) step up.
Any thoughts / ideas suggestions or previous experiences are welcome!
Thanks,
Dan
