Insurance increase recently?

My boss today told me that due to the recent fire in a £5mill building caused by, apparently an apprentice in the loft soldering, has bumped his insurance up and we now all have to take part in hot works permit's every week and yet another health and saftey check every 12 months regarding the safe use of naked flames!

Anyone else been stung by this?

Not heard a thing about it. I've taken my insurances away from corgi this year and save approx 50% and got better cover. Yrt another corgi rip off i've been falling for
