I am a sole trader and trying to find some information out about how you become partnered with insurance companies to bid on completing remedial works. Searching the web seems to yield little results, any help would be most appreciated.

Why would you want to do this ?

I suspect you get paid peanuts and have little chance to do a decent job with the money you get

Have you thought this through? Insurance work can run into the thousands which you will have pay for in advance through your business funds and then wait up to 60 - 120 days for payment.

I used to work for a builder who only done fire or flood damaged property's .He always had work though sometimes (as per chirpychippy)
the payment was late from insurance companies .
Now he got his work from the insurance loss adjusters ,so that might be a better contact rather than trying the companies direct .

We spent over 10 years subcontracting to a specialist insurance contractor they did nothing else.
I had a couple of lads virtually full time for them.
Work was everything from top of range to absolute bodge it and scarper.
Payment was 28 days but could be much longer!
Would I do it again? A very definite no.

As above, contact the loss adjusters
