integrated appliance, am i missing something ?

new fully integrated d/washer replacing freestanding one.

Instructions say to screw it to counter top, but the problem is it's 50mm short of the underside of the worktop and the adjustable feet for levelling, are only on the front and have just a few mm adjustment for, well, levelling...

Not fitted a semi/fully integrated appliance before ? I presume it will need to raised up in a platform of some kind ? Instructions don't say.

up to you if your raise it up on blocks
so long as the fascia is fitted to cover the required space and you can open/use the appliance it doesn't always matter

best advice is avoid split panel fascia doors. a 1 piece door is stronger and will last a lot longer

yup, single door, needs to be raised as the operating buttons are on the top edge of the door. not raising it would leave them hard to get to as they wouldn't be flush with the fascia... strange, about having to raise it is not mentioned in the instructions ! just "screw to underside of counter top" yeah - right !

Strange one not seen an integrated machine that does not have fully adjustable legs front and rear (not always obvious how to move them though) with at least 2" of travel

interested in make/model just in case of meeting one

well, the dishwasher was a free-bee - came free with range and hood
Rangemaster here http://www.rangemaster.co.uk/index_856.htm#spec has fixed rear feet and adjustable front ones, same as the washing machine (electrolux EWX14450W)

The Washing machine arrived shortly after and that is the same (50mm short of the underside of the work-top. However, it explains in the instructions that if necessary, it will need to be raised on a platform (and goes into details of size and materials to be used etc)

Both are now sitting correctly under the work-top and look much better for it.
