Integrated Dishwasher

Just in the process of buying a “new” house. House was built 10 yrs ago and kitchen replaced just over 6 months ago.

It’s got built in fridge, built in freezer, built in oven, built in hob and even a built in microwave but no built in dishwasher.

There is a cupboard, that I could remove, approx 60cm wise but has a end pillar making a little narrower.

Two options I can think of but wanting some advice

1) Try and modify end pillar so that I can get a full size integrated dishwasher. (Preferred option)
2) Have a slimline integrated dishwasher. Can I still attach the 60cm door to it so line of cupboards look ok ?

Also will I have problems with current hinge holes on existing cupboard door or would I have to try and buy a specific appliance door?

Integrated dishwashers do not fit inside cabinets. They sit in a 600mm wide space ( usually with cabinets either side). The door is fixed directly to the dishwasher.
So ,you will have to remove the existing cabinet ( looks like it MAY be a corner unit ),and of course you will need water supply ,waste pipe connection to drain ,and an electric socket to plug it into.

Yeah was planning to remove cupboard as you say. It’s not a corner cupboard as the one under the sink is the corner one. It is a stand-alone single cupboard.

I’m hoping plumbing and electric socket is still there as apparently that is where the washing machine was in original kitchen.

It can be done but you'd need to create a new "cheek" to the right hand side of the space internally, and possibly fashion a new corner post to suit the smaller/larger gap.
Bits of 2x1 or 2x2 can be used (behind the facade) to create a framework and hold corners together. You may be able to reuse the unit door as the dishwasher front.

They are normally full size units and that door looks like 600mm. You would normally fit the corner unit then the corner post then a full unit beside it.

Hopefully you'll find the space is a full 600mm.
