We have a troublesome intercept trap on 30s house my son has just bought. It is like a loo trap but in the outlet of the manhole just before the main sewer. Fortunately there is a rodding acceess just 3 inches above which is acting like an overflow but this means there is 3 inches of static water in the drain when the intercept gets blocked. We had it cleared and jetted but it seems to get blocked within a few days. Surely it must have worked originally - so what's wrong ?
Anybody found a solution ? - otherwise we may have to have the trap taken out or bypassed.
