Interior Design / Show Home Costs

How much would it cost get an interior designer to do a room or two in my house like a show home? Are there any companies out there that would do this for a reasonable price?
I know 'reasonable' is subjective but....

Why do you need to have someone else tell you what your rooms should look like ??

A good furnishing or department store might have an interior designer offering a 'personal shopping' type service, it won't be full interior design but it would be free.

Alternatively the weekend papers often do a room styling feature together with a 'where to get the bits' section. It's advertising really, but wait until you see a roomset you like then copy it.

Just look at some house mags, they are full of show homes, take your inspiration from one of those and save your money for the decoration/furniture
