intermittent gas to boiler

i am not looking to fix problem but just to be informed when i ring a gas fitter. unless of course its really something simple.

when i start up the combi boiler it tries to fire but indicates its failed. when i turn on my gas hob there is no gas for say 30 seconds then the gas comes through, then if i try the bolier it fires. when i leave it, it heats untill it reaches its temperature then wont work again until i do the same with the gas hob to get the gas through. the boiler is a valliant hob i would not know. the house is only 10 years old. is this a boiler or gas problem?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Turn the Gas off and don't use it untill its check by an RGI.

What you say is Immediately Dangerous untill we know better.

Appears to be a problem with the governor on the meter. Contact Transco 0800 111 999. Phone them now and they should come out within the hour.
