Hi All

Our sliding UPVC patio door has developed a fault.

It may be due to expansion caused by the current hot weather, but every now and again, when we go to close the door, the bottom pair of hooks seem to be hitting the edges of the striker plate apertures instead of entering them. The other four hooks work smoothly. I can get the door to close by depressing the button that allows the door to lock once closed, locking and unlocking it, but its a bliddy nuisance having to do this.

I've tried adjusting the track screw to raise and lower the door but its made no difference.

I've noticed that there are screws with star-bit heads above and below each set of hooks; are these for adjustment or solely to hold the mechanism in place?

Any constructive advice welcome, thanks.

The little star or Torx screws will most probably hold the hook gearboxes onto the locking strip and not adjustment screws, don't attempt to remove

Gotcha, thanks. It was a tad better last night after the sun went down, so perhaps heat related. I'll leave alone for now.
