Exist'g - 300 cavity wall

Ext no.2 - single storey vaulted mono-pitched roof.
Between the 2 extensions will be a 300 cavity wall (brick/block) with a door opening at the exist'g house end.
To increase internal space (200mm over length of wall) and overcome issues with an internal 300 door opening would a ub 178x102x19 suffice for the 3.1m clear span of the 'external' skin?
Any other issues to consider?
