This may sound trivial, but it's getting damn annoying!

The screws in one of my doors have worked themselves loose. I keep tightening them but the holes must be too big now. Is it possible to get a longer screw that will do the trick? I'm not sure that a thicker screw would fit through the hole? View media item 11890 View media item 11891

What I would do is to fill in the screw holes with wood e.g. tooth picks or matchsticks - possibly glue them in place. Then you can use the original screws to fasten the handle

Thanks, would I need to fill the hole completely or just fit 1 or 2 splinters in with gaps around the edge?

Fill the hole completely - you are trying to replace all the lost wood for the screw to bite into.

Use some pva on each stick and tap gently into place. Leave to dry then cut flush with door. Then refit handle
